Still hungry for bread and chocolate. So, I did talk to Joschi about it and he told me I was addicted to sugar. He said for the rest of the challenge I need to cut out the sugar or my body will start all over again with the addiction. That is hard to do considering all my roommates love having cake and ice cream around all the time. How do I beat that kind of peer pressure at home?

Day 5- Super Sore
Today my body did not cooperate. I took Joschi's noon pilates and good grief, those side leg lifts kill me every time! I think soon I am going to need a day to recoup but I really want to meet this challenge head on. I have begun to see my body change. I feel amazing compared to how I looked and felt before.

welcome to the land of SUGAR!
sugar is everywhere!
most quick foods that fit into our hectic lifestyles have sugars. simple sugars, refined sugars, hidden sugars, and even sugars that don’t look like sugars,
for example: simple sugar in vitamins, toothpaste, lip gloss, lickable stamps, laxatives, cough medicines.
check food labels for sugar synonyms: high fructose corn syrup, crystalline fructose, corn syrup solids, maple syrup, honey, cane sugar, and more (to name a few)
stop sugar addiction - the best way to kick a sugar habit is to begin eating foods includling protein - you won’t incur as much of a spike in your insulin level - the protein will help keep your blood sugar more even. eat protein with every meal or snack (if u need carbs)
eliminate the refined sugar and white flour from your diet.
YES, it takes a commitment to get the refined sugar monkey off your back!
when you eliminate the refined sugars, you might very well still have lingering emotional cravings. in order to eliminate those, you may need to take an inner journey to release yourself from the ties and beliefs you have about sugar in your life. TAKE A YOGA CLASS!!!
treat yourself like you’re in detox. the first week of sugar abstinence is hard! YOU CAN DO IT!
by the way you found a partner here: ME, JOSCHI! WE CAN DO IT!
Another great way is to incorporate foods that are naturally sweet into your diet. Our bodies are designed to enjoy sweet food, but this doesn't have to mean "sugar". During the winter my favorites are sweet potatoes. Also adding cinnamon or ginger to things help as well.
And if you are cooking and it calls for sugar, consider using a natural sweetener.... honey, maple syrup, molasses, agave, applesauce, bananas.
Good Luck!
